Zerg runs his own site, teslacoil.ru ("Zerg Labs"). His first half-bridge SSTC is titled on its own schematic "Zrg's UCC27425-based simple halfbridge ISSTC". An NE555 sets the interrupter timing. Antenna feedback drives a UCC27425 into a pair of FCA47N60 MOSFETs through a GDT. It is self-oscillating, in the lineage of Ward's own SSTC-1, but he arrived at it independently. The primary has eight turns, and 1.5KE400A suppressors and HFA30TB60 diodes sit across each MOSFET's drain-source directly at the leads. In 2012 he revised it into a full IGBT version, with its own ATtiny13-based interrupter in place of the 555 and a DS1233D-5+ for undervoltage lockout. The later build is documented mostly in spark photographs rather than board shots, so the perfboard-and-heatsink photos here are from the original 2011 version.
