“Seeing Jimmy Hynes' DRSSTC work (for a while) made me eager to be the second experimenter to get sparks from a brick.” A cheap and nasty test rig: the copper-pipe inductor from the old rig mashed to lower its inductance, a guessed number of 1 µF 1000 V capacitors, an IGBT brick. It worked. Archived October 2003, when Conner crossed from the OLTC branch to the DRSSTC.
